No, Chris Pine isn’t Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, or Chris Pratt –– but he’s got some serious rapping chops.

On the January 24th episode of “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” the “In the Night” and “Wonder Woman” actor got into a lengthy discussion about music, ranging from his time playing in a high school band to his love for Metallica and Sammy Davis Jr.

“What’s the first song you really remember knowing and doing?” Kimmel asked.

Pine thought for a moment, and then responded, “Vanilla Ice’s ‘Ice, Ice Baby.’”

Kimmel points out that while the 29-year-old “Ice, Ice Baby” is a pop song we still hear to this day, Vanilla Ice – whose real name is Robert Van Winkle – can’t take all the credit. “It’s not really his song, it’s a David Bowie song and then he added lyrics to it,” Kimmel said.

“It has fantastic lyrics, though,” Pine responded about the rap song, which uses the bassline from Bowie and Queen’s legendary rock track “Under Pressure.”

Pine then plucked a pen off of Kimmel’s desk to use as a microphone and started rapping. “Alright stop, collaborate and listen…”

“That was a mistake, you shouldn’t have done that,” Kimmel joked after Pine was finished. “That’s it, you’re out of the next “Wonder Woman” movie, but Vanilla is going to be so happy.”

Kimmel added, “Shout out, word to your mother.”

As DC fans might recall, Pine’s character Steve Trevor appeared to have died in the first “Wonder Woman” film, but he was seen in a still for the upcoming sequel in June.

“Wonder Woman 1984” will hit theaters – with or without Pine – on June 5, 2020.
