Since Suicide Squad opened a few weeks ago to pretty lousy reviews, there hasn’t been a whole lot of news regarding DC movies…
But on Monday, Ben Affleck broke the silence!
The 44-year-old actor is currently filming Justice League, the followup flick to his widely panned Batman v Superman, but decided to drop some MAJOR news regarding the villain in his own Batman movie!
It was announced months ago that Matt Damon‘s bestie would be writing and directing his own Batman movie, and earlier today the Oscar winner took to Twitter to share a video revealing what appeared to be a camera test of the villain…
Shortly after sharing the video (below), The Wrap learned from an insider close to the situation that Deathstroke is indeed the big baddie in Ben’s Batman movie!
Deathstroke is a mercenary and assassin who’s real name is Slade Wilson and has been a major villain in DC comics since the early ’80s. He was most recently portrayed in the first few seasons of Arrow by Manu Bennet, but has not returned to the show because the character was “tied up in another DC project”, which turns out to be Batman!
Ch-ch-check out the AH-Mazing video that Affleck shared on Twitter (below) and let us know if you’re happy about the big announcement!
We wonder if it’s his hunky bod under all that armor…
Even though Batfleck’s flick doesn’t have a release date yet, we’re sure we’ll hear some more about what to expect from the solo adventure soon!
Are you excited Deathstroke is the villain in the next Dark Knight movie?!
